Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs, Release Date & Price Rumors

Samsung has become of the most dominating brands in the domain of smartphones and when the Samsung Galaxy S3 model gained a good deal of popularity since its launch in the month of May last year, rumors regarding the future version i.e. S4 are already spreading around like wildfire.

Even though Samsung is keeping mum on the topic people have already made a picture of the future Galaxy phone through resources and leaks on the internet. Let’s take a look at it.

According to a Taiwanese website Digitimes, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will have an extensive 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920 X 1080 which would accompany the trend started by HTC’s butterfly handset.

Even the display quality of S4 would be impressive and will have a pixel density of 400 PPI which is even greater than Apple’s retina display technology.

However, another source The Korean Times asserts that the new member of the Galaxy family would have a 6.3 inch HD display. This prediction is accounted for the fact that the screen size of smartphones is increasing at a huge rate.

Even though it has been just about 6 months since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 the gadget is already facing tough competition from the likings of Google Nexus 4. The thing is that Nexus is far cheaper than S3 and also comes with the latest version of android OS which is 4.2 Jellybean.

The Jellybean OS is a very improved version of its previous android versions and comes with all the major bugs fixed.

Due to this, it is quite likely that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S4 anytime soon. In fact, the company has also launched a short teaser video on YouTube which hints about the company’s plans for the Customer Electronics Show to be held in January 2013.

In the video, they promised something new for the fans in the event. So, we might finally get to see the face of S4 in the event.

Considering the price of the former model S3 which was a whopping 499 pounds and also the tough competition from Google Nexus 4 the S4 might have a lesser price so as to gain an advantage in the market. Fingers crossed, let’s see!
